Bee Removal Service
Things I do not remove: Ants, bats, beetles, bed bugs, cockroaches, fleas, flies, moles, raccoons, rats, spiders, termites, weevils, & cats out of trees.
I do one thing & do it well: remove honeybees & Africanized honeybees (AHB).
Most removals are from walls or trees, but bees can show up in some very
unexpected places. We have taken them from a wide variety of structures
& objects, including: apartment complexes, Victorian houses, college dorm
rooms, museum bell towers, church attics, pump sheds, awnings, columns,
chimneys, floors, eaves, utility meters, flower boxes, trash cans, & motors.
As of 02/09, Africanized bees have been found in 10 Arkansas counties: Baxter, Bradley, Clark, Columbia, Faulkner, Howard, Lafayette, Miller, Nevada, & Union. 23 counties surrounding these are considered at “high risk,” but this doesn’t mean that AFB may only be in those 33 counties!
The Arkansas State Plant Board & bee experts recommend that all unmanaged colonies & swarms be destroyed to combat the spread of Africanized bees & protect the public. Children, the elderly, & small pets are especially vulnerable.
We are careful and thorough in our work. Bees like to make their colonies in dark, dry locations. Frequently, that means the interior of walls. Although not a carpenter, he is generally able to patch up whatever has been removed, or let you know beforehand what repairs will be needed.
After removing bees, honey comb, and honey, a thin layer of chemical is put down to deter any foraging bees from returning.
